DOL Rule Modifies Independent Contractor Classification 
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) will release today a final rule that changes the criteria for classifying workers as employees or independent contractors. The new rule is expected to result in more workers being classified as employees, and perhaps more expense for employers.
