2024 401(k) Contribution Limit Announcement Imminent
As open enrollment season is in full swing, employers are still waiting for one important figure: the annual 401(k) contribution limit for 2024. The announcement from the IRS should be coming any day. While the annual announcement usually comes in mid- to late October, it has been released in November before.
 
 
 
Department of Labor Releases New Fiduciary Rule
The Biden administration unveiled its new fiduciary rule that extends fiduciary standards and aims to close loopholes that some say cost retirement savers money. The proposed rule would, among other things, ensure that financial advisers, brokers and insurance agents are held to the fiduciary standard on rollover IRAs.

An employee's sexual harassment claims based on forged text messages were dismissed, and the plaintiff was properly sanctioned over false testimony, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals recently ruled.
